      IVos Rudolfus et Ludovicus Dei gratia comites palatini Reni, duces Davariac, notum facimus praesentium inspectoribus universis, quod devotos cives nostros cum tota civitate in Novacivitate sub ca protectione et gratia manutenere volu- mus, protegere ac delensare, sub qua pater noster piae me- moriae ipsos cives tenuit et nos ipsi tenuimus et tenere in- tendimus in futuro, dantes ipsis has nostras literas nostro- rum sigillorum munimine consignatas. Datum in Novacivitate, anno Domini MCCCIII. proxima secunda feria post assump- tionis beatae 31ariae virginis.
