Nos Petrus Anthonius de Fregeno comissarius sacre religionis ciuitatis et insule sancti Johannis de Rhodi (sic) a sanctissimo in Christo patre et domino nostro domino Sixto diuina prouidencia papa quarto et vigore litterarum suarum pro expedicione contra perfidos Turcos cristiani nomiuis hostes in defensione insule Rhodi et fidei catholice facta et facienda concessarum ad infrascripta per vniuersum orbem deputatus, dilectis nobis in Christo domino Thome abbati monasterii Altouadensis cum ceteris fratribus videlicet Andree 1° Thome Vincencio Jacobo Johanne primo Andree 2° Vito Henrico Paulo Bartholomeo Philippo Johanne 3° Cristofero Petro et Thome conuerso salutem in domino sempiternam. Prouenit ex tue deuocionis affectu, quo Romanam ecclesiam reuereris ac te huic sancte expedicioni et necessarie gratum reddis et liberalem, vt peticiones tuas illas presertim, que consciencie pacem ad exaudicionis graciam admittamus. Hinc est, quod nos tuis deuotis supplicacionibus inclinati tibi ut aliquem idoneum et discretum presbiterum secularem uel cuiusuis ordinis regularem in tuum possis eligere confessorem, qui confessione tua diligenter audita pro commissis per te quibusuis criminibus excessibus et delictis quantumcumque grauibus et enormibus, eciam si talia fuerint, propter que sedes appostolica sit quouismodo merito consulenda, inieccionis manuum in episcopum uel superiorem ac libertatis ecclesiastice offense seu conspiracionis in personam aut statum Romani pontificis uel cuiusuis offense inobediencie aut rebellionis sedis eiusdem ac presbitericidii casibus dumtaxat exceptis in reseruatis, semel tantum in aliis vero non reseruatis, tociens quociens fuerit opportunum, debitam absolucionem impendere et penitenciam salutarem iniungere ac omnium peccatorum tuorum, de quibus corde contritus et ore confessus fueris, semel in vita et semel in mortis articulo plenariam remissionem et indulgenciam auctoritate apostolica tibi concedere possit, qua per ipsius sedis literas sufficienti facultate muniti fungimur in hac parte, indulgemus. In quorum fidem has nostras litteras sigilli nostri appensione munitas fieri iussimus. Datum Crumlouie anno domini millesimo quadringentesimo octuagesimo primo die vndecima mensis Aprilis.
