Omnibus Christi fidelibus ad quos presens scriptum pervenerit Johannes dei gratia Norwicensis Episcopus Salutem in domino Ad episcopalis officii sollicitudinem pertinere dinoscitur ecclesiastica beneficia quibus canonice sunt concessa auctoritatis sue munimine firmare ne que iuste collata sunt alicuius possint temeritate vel malicia possidentibus avelli Eis autem promptius et propensius protectionis tenetur impendere patrocinium quorum artioris vite regula constringit quorum honeste conversationis meritum sacre religionis bonum emittit odorem Ea propter omnibus notum esse volumus nos confirmasse deo et ecclesie sancte Marie de Leestun[] et Abbati et canonicis ibidem deo servientibus locum ipsum in quo predicta constituta est ecclesia quam vir illustris Rannulfus de Glanvilla pia devotione fundavit ubi sicut discreta provisione constitutum est ordo Premonstratensis iuxta regulam beati Augustini firmius observetur et ad honorem et laudem dei sub Abbate presente et eius successoribus canonice substituendis vigeat et floreat in perpetuum Nichilominus etiam eisdem canonicis confirmamus totum manerium de Leestun[] cum omnibus pertinentiis ex donatione memorati Rannulfi de Glanvill[] consentiente domino nostro illustrissimo Rege Anglorum Henrico secundo in puram et perpetuam elemosinam sicut eorum carte testantur Similiter ecclesiam sancte Margarete de Leestun[] et ecclesiam sancti Andree de Aldringham quas ecclesias post spontaneam resignationem prioris et canonicorum de Butteleia qui eas prius habuerunt in manu nostra factam canonicis de Leestun[] ad presentationem sepedicti Rannulfi canonice concessimus et dedimus Hec quidem et alia que memorati canonici de Leestun[] sive in Presentiarum possident vel futuris temporibus annuente domino iustis modis poterunt adipisci ipsis firmare constare volumus et illibata salvo in omnibus iure sancte Norwicensis ecclesie subiectione et obedientia Hanc itaque confirmationis nostre paginam ut perpetue firmitatis robur optineat sigilli nostri appositione communimus districtius inhibentes ne quis contra eam temeraria presumptione venire presumat Eam autem observantibus et suprascripte ecclesie caritatis intuitu aliqua bona conferentibus sit pax et Salus eterna Datum ab incarnatione domini m c lxxxvii Testibus
