Final concord made in the king's court at Westminster before the justices named, in the presence and with the consent of the bishop of London, between Walter son of Humphrey and Hugh prior of Stoke by Clare, concerning the church of Foxearth, wherein the prior quitclaims all his right to Walter and his successors, saving four marks yearly to be paid by the clerk to whom Walter and his successors grant the church 28 January 1203. Hec est finalis concordia facta in curia domini regis apud Westmonasterium a die Sancti Yllarii in xv dies anno regni regis Iohannis iiii coram Galfrido filio Petri Ricardo de Herierd Simone de Pateshill[] Eustachio de Facunberg[] Iohanne de Gestling Osberto filio Hervi Godefrido de Insula Waltero de Creping[] iusticiariis et aliis baronibus domini regis ibidem tunc presentibus inter Walterum filium Humfridi petentem et Hugonem priorem de Stokes tenentem de advocacione ecclesie de Foxherde unde placitum fuit inter eos in prefata curia scilicet quod predictus prior recognovit advocacionem predicte ecclesie cum pertinenciis esse ius ipsius Walteri et eam remisit et quietam clamavit predicto Waltero et heredibus suis de se et successoribus suis inperpetuum salvis quatuor marcis ecclesie de Stokes quos clericus cui predictus Walterus vel heredes sui ecclesiam illam concesserint annuatim priori et monachis ecclesie de Stokes et eorum successoribus persolvet ad duos terminos anni scilicet ad Pascha ii marcas et ad festum Sancti Michaelis ii marcas Et sciendum quod clericus ille cui idem Walterus vel heredes sui ecclesiam illam concesserint faciet fidelitatem predicto priori et monachis ecclesie de Stokes et eorum successoribus de predictis iiii marcis reddendis Et hec concordia facta fuit concessu et voluntate Willelmi episcopi Londoniensis et eo presente et predictum beneficium iiii marcarum concedente
