Uniuersis Christi fidelibus presens scriptum uisuris uel audituris frater Willelmus permissione diuina abbas de Messend et eiusdem loci conuentus eternam in domino salutem Noueritis nos communi assensu et uoluntate totius capituli nostri concessisse et assignasse pro nobis et successoribus nostris ad sustentationem unius cerei existentis in perpetuum coram altari beate Marie in capella que in ecclesia nostra de Messend de nouo fundata est et inueniendi per manum sacriste uel custodis luminare beate Marie in ecclesia nostra quicumque pro tempore fuerit totum illud tenementum cum curtilagio et acra terre adiacente cum pertinentiis quod Reginaldus de Risebergh clericus aliquando habuit de dono Iohannis filii Hugonis de Kenebelle in uilla de magna Messend et quod idem Reginaldus postea per cartam suam nobis quietum clamauit et remisit Quicumque igitur inposterum contra hanc nostram concessionem et assignationem aliquo tempore attemptare presumpserit auctoritate nobis collata uinculo excommunicationis innodetur Et contra ipsum tamquam inimicum beate uirginis Marie fideliter totus conuentus insurgat Ut autem [etc] Data in capitulo nostro in crastino exaltationis Sancte Crucis anno domini millesimo cc sexagesimo viij
