79. Notification by prior Berengar and the convent of St Faith's Horsham, that when on their appeal a suit brought against them by the prior and convent of Eye on papal authority before the treasurer of Lincoln and his colleagues concerning two thirds of the demesne tithes of Roger de Cressy in Glemham which Eye claimed belonged to them by the gift of William de Roville, was transferred to the prior of Binham and his colleagues, and when in addition, the prior and convent of Eye had brought a suit against them before the ordinary at Norwich concerning the tithes of the demesne of Henry de la Hose, deceased, held of Roger de Cressy in Flimworth in the parish of Eye, it was agreed by both sides to submit both suits to the arbitration of prior Simon of Norwich, Master Walter of Suffield and Thomas of Falkenham. The prior and convent of Eye have remitted and quitclaimed to St Faith's all their rights in the tithes of Glemham and St Faith's have granted in perpetuity to Eye two thirds of the tithe of Flimworth for an annual rent of 6s, with reversion of all the tithes to either party if the other defaults.
