190. Final concord between prior John [de Weldebof] of Bushmead and Richard [de Lega] of Bletsoe and his wife Beatrice concerning a messuage and 30 ac. of land in Great Barford and 2 ac. of wood in Colmworth. Richard of Bletsoe and his wife Beatrice acknowledge the land to be the right of the prior by their gift, to be held by rendering forinsec service to the chief lords of the fee. The prior receives Richard and Beatrice into the benefit of prayers in his church. At Bedford. 25 November 1240. Finalis concordia inter Johannem priorem de Bisshemade et Ricardum de Blechesho. Hec est finalis concordia in curia domini regis apud Bedeford[] a die sancti Martini in quindecim dies anno regni regis Henrici filii regis Johannis vicesimo quinto coram Ranulfo abbate de Rames[] Willelmo de Ebor[] preposito Beuerl[] Henrico de Bathon[] Rogero de Thurkelby et Gilberto de Preston[] Justiciariis itinerantibus et aliis domini regis fidelibus tunc ibi presentibus inter Johannem priorem de Bisshemade querentem et Ricardum de Blechesh[] et Beatriciam uxorem eius impedientes de una mesuagio triginta acris terre cum pertinenciis in Bereford[] et duabus acris bosci cum pertinenciis in Colmord[] unde placitum waranti carte summonitum fuit inter eos in eadem curia scilicet quod predicti Ricardus et Beatricia recognouerunt predictum mesuagium terram et boscum cum pertinenciis esse ius ipsius prioris et ecclesie sue de Bisshemade ut illa que idem prior et ecclesia predicta habent de dono predictorum Ricardi et Beatricie habend et tenend eidem priori et successoribus suis et ecclesie predicte in liberam et perpetuam elemosinam faciendo inde capitalibus dominis feodi illius pro predictis Ricardo et Beatricia et heredibus ipsius Beatricie forinsecum seruicium quantum pertinet ad tantum tenementum de eodem feodo in eisdem villis pro omni seruicio Et predicti Ricardus et Beatricia et heredes ipsius Beatricie warantizabunt predicti priori et successoribus suis et ecclesie sue predicte predictum mesuagium terram et boscum cum pertinenciis ut liberam et perpetuam elemosinam suam per predictum seruicium contra omnes homines in perpetuum Et idem prior recepit predictos Ricardum et Beatriciam et heredes ipsius Beatricie in singulis beneficis et oracionibus que de cetero fient in ecclesia predicta in perpetuum
