Doc. 290a in cartulary. Grant by William, prior of Luffield, to Walter Wawe of Whittlebury of a serjeanty in the Priory: He shall either be the keeper of the hall of their hospice, or of their granary, of their gate or of their granges within the Priory and without; he shall have for his food and drink as much as the gatekeeper or the master cook, and for his wages half a mark yearly. Half his goods and chattels shall remain to the Priory at his death, and for this grant he has given to the Priory 10 marks for the necessities fo the business of their church. 1 May 1301.
