293. Ordinance of bishop William [of Blois], made with the goodwill of the dean and chapter, providing that everyone who is a canon of Lincoln when he closes his latest day shall have the power of disposing of the fruits of his prebend for one year from the day of his death; and that every one of the vicars of the prebendaries shall receive every year half a mark beyond his accustomed stipend.
