302. c.25 March 1277. Agreement whereby Alice le Heyr and Geoffrey her son have leased, demised and granted to Ralf Biscop of Coventry, his heirs or assigns, 13d. annual rent which they used to receive by the hand of Ralf Byscop from a certain curtilage outside Gosford (extra Goseford) in Coventry between the land Henry de Guldentre held on the one hand and the land of Simon le Chalon(er) on the other; to be held to him, his heirs,or whatsoever assigns, of the grantors freely [etc.] for a term of 8 years from the feast of the blessed Mary in March 5 Edward I, by rendering annually a clove gillyflower at Easter for all secular service [etc]. Clause for warranty. Ralf gave 3s. of silver beforehand. Witnesses: John de Lodelowe then bailiff, Henry de Lilleburne, William de Kenilworth, Simon Dras, Robert de Lichefeld, Hugh Page, Thomas Marye and others.
