495. 2 June 1363. Grant by Henry son of Robert in le Huyrne of Coventry to Robert son of William le Clerk of Coundon (Coundelme) dwelling (manenti) in Coventry and Edith his wife for their entire life and to the survivor a messuage with buildings sited there, with an adjacent curtilage, and with its appurtenances, which messuage lies in Spon St. (in vico de Spon(n)a) in width between the land of Robert the grantor's father on the one hand and the grantor's land on the other and extends in length from the aforesaid street up to the land of Robert Fackon according to the metes and bounds made there; to be held of the grantor, his heirs or assigns, freely [etc.] by rendering annually 8s. of silver at the four terms of the year usual in Coventry for all services and demands pertaining to the grantor, his heirs or assigns. The grantees will repair and maintain the buildings at their own cost and the messuage will revert after their deaths with all improvements, buildings constructed and appurtenances. Mutual sealing clause. Witnesses: Roger Dayesegh' then bailiff in Coventry, John Lewyne then coroner, Robert in le Huyrne, Thurstan le Wyttauere, William le Wallere, Geoffrey le Wallere, Richard Colebrond clerk and others.
