Omnibus Christi fidelibus ad quos presens scriptum pervenerit Rogerus permissione divina Coventr[ensis] et Lich[efeldensis] ecclesiarum minister humilis salutem Ex officio nobis commisso loca religiosa paterna pietate fovere tenemur et promovere eis uberius providere quos in Dei servicio vigilanciores noverimus ut dum eis in temporalibus providere uberius et liberius divinis vacent obsequiis Hinc est quod predecessorum nostrorum vestigiis inherentes dilectis filiis priori et canonicis sancti Nicholai de Burscogh[] ecclesiam de Huyton[] in proprios usus habendam concedimus et confirmamus salvo nobis et successoribus nostris iure episcopali et parochiali et salve vicar[ia] quam in eadem ordinavimus que consistere debet in competenti manso et porcionibus decem marcarum taxandarum per nos et successores nostros et vicario qui pro tempore fuerit assignand[arum] ita tamen quod idem vicarius agnoscat medietatem dumtaxat omnium onerum ordinariorum extraordinar[ia] vero assignat pro parte sua quilibet predictorum In cuius rei testimonium impressio sigilli nostri presentibus est appensa Dat[] Ecclishall[] pridie idus Martii anno Domini millesimo ducentesimo septuagesimo septimo et consecracionis nostre vicesimo primo
