Grant made before the king's justices at Doncaster by Roger de Clere to the monks of Rievaulx of the ditch made by them between the king's waste below Pickering and the donor's town of Wilton, with the land between that ditch and the said waste, and his right in the said waste which they have by the king's charter. 1180.
