Omnibus Christi etc Walterus Dei gracia archiepiscopus Eboracensis Anglie primas salutem in domino Cum dilecti filii prior et canonici de Thurgarton[] medietatem ecclesie de Hokesworth[] nobis concessissent cui vellemus semel conferendam nos ipsam medietatem ad ipsorum patronatum spectantem dilecto filio Jacobo Pinquaunt contulimus Et ne per collacionem nostram in pensione eis debita vel in patronatu ejusdem post decessum dicti Jacobi eis aliquod providum generetur id presentibus duximus protestandum Datum apud Shelfford etc

Date: Reg. Gray, 90 has the text of a collation made at Chirchden dated 2 April 1241, whereby R. the prior and convent of St Katherine's Lincoln, who held the other moiety, and W. (William) the prior and convent of Thurgarton granted the patronage of the church to the archbishop.
