71. Grant by Robert de Ferrers II, earl of Derby, to the Priory of the tithe of rents paid to him by tenants of the burgages in New- borough (Staffs.) added to the town by his father or himself, or to be added in the future. In return, Robert son of Wakelin of Rod- burn is free from an annual payment to the Priory of one mark in respect of Egginton. In addition, the earl has granted the Priory the "parish" of Newborough. He also issues a notification that Ralph son of the hunter (venator) has granted the Priory two bovates in Hollington. (1141).
