1370 Wroxcetour. Donacio advocacionis ecclesie ibi. Wm. FitzAlan I grants the advowson of Wroxeter, with Norton and all its endowments, so that the canons may increase their numbers and become a full convent. He wishes that 5 canons shall be present at the church on certain saints' days and the abbot shall appoint 5 secular priests to be there throughout the year and be responsible to him for the revenue (25 July 1155). Sciant presentes et futuri quod ego Willelmus filius Alani die sancti Jacobi apud Bruggiam habito certo rumore vacacionis ecclesie de Wroxcestr[] dedi in perpetuam elemosinam advocacionem dicte ecclesie et ipsam totam ecclesiam cum Nortona et omni dote sua et omnibus pertinentiis suis tam in villa de Wroxcestr[] quam extra canonicis meis de Haghmon in Salopsyria ad augendum numerum eorum ita quod habeant amodo plenum Conventum et ad sustentacionem eorum habeant dictam ecclesiam quam Dionisius patronus[] meus propter eos resignavit Et volo quod quinque canonici de Haghmon[] sint in dicta ecclesia de Wroxcestr[] annuatim in festis Sancti Andree Sancti Georgii et Sancti Dionisii ei ordinet abbas de Haghmon[] quod per annum sint in dicta ecclesia quinque servientes seculares qui reddant ei omnes proventus bona fide Hii sunt testes Rogerus de Powicia Johannes Extraneus Hugo de Lacy de Colemere etc
