The prior and canons of Lanercost grant that Robert, son of Robert the younger of Denton, may have a chapel in his manor of Lanerton, and a chaplain for celebrating mass. The offerings are reserved to Lanercost, as the chaplain shall undertake on oath before his admission, and Robert and his successors grant to the canons one pound of wax a year on the feast of the Assumption of the B.V.M.
