71. STEWTON, GRIMOLDBY Inquisition ad quod damnum in response to a writ to the sheriff of 8 January 55 Henry III (not here printed) as to what harm if any would be caused to the king, and to men of Grimoldby going to Louth, if Ellis Rabayn were allowed to block the road from Grimoldby to Louth which is harmful to his manor in Stewton, so that men would go by way of South Houses instead. The jurors say the king would suffer no harm, but for men going from Grimoldby to Louth market the journey there and back would be a league longer by way of South Houses.
