102 Final concord concerning a messuage in Wolvey which William abbot of Combe (Warw), plaintiff, lost because Reginald Basset, defendant, did not warrant it as he should have done. Reginald granted to William in pure alms another messuage in the district of Wolvey. In return the abbot quitclaimed all his demand on the first messuage. Hec est finalis concordia facta in curia domini regis apud Vestm[] In crastino animarum regni regis Johannis anno viij coram G filio Petri Simone de Pateshull[] Eustachio de Faucunberg Henrico archidiacono de Stafford[] Johanne de Gestling[] Waltero de Creping[] justic[] et aliis fidelibus domini regis tunc ibi presentibus inter Willelmum abbatem de Cumba querentem per fratrem Nigellum positum loco suo ad lucrandum vel perdendum et Reginaldum Basset deforciantem de j mesagio in Wulveie quod jacet juxta sanctum fontem quod mesagium idem Reginaldus debuit ei warantizasse per finem factum inter eos in curia domini regis et quod idem abbas amisit eo quod ipse illud ei non warantizavit et unde placitum fuit inter eos in prefata curia scilicet quod predictus Reginaldus dedit et concessit eidem abbati in escambium predicti mesagii j aliud mesagium quod jacet in territorio de Wulveie inter viam que tendit de Wulveie versus Hinkele et terram de Scireford[] habend et tenend eidem abbati et successoribus suis in puram et perpetuam elemosinam simul cum alia terra quam idem abbas habet de ipso Reginaldo per finem factum inter eos in eadem villa Et pro hac donatione et concessione et fine et concordia idem abbas remisit et quietam clamavit de se et successoribus suis eidem Reginaldo Basset et heredibus suis totam exactionem quam idem abbas habuit in predicto mesagio quod est juxta sanctum fontem
