212 Agreement whereby Isabel widow of William de Montagu (I) received from Alan Basset as her dower the manor of Yarlington (Som) with the advowson of its church and the manor of Thurlbear (Som), except for the advowson of its church and except for L6 of rent which Isabel must pay to Alan or to the heir of William or to the person who has custody of the land and heir until he comes of age. Hec est conventio facta inter Alanum Basset et Isobel quondam uxorem Willelmi de Monte Acuto scilicet quod dicta Isobel recepit de dicto Alano Basset unde se pacatam tenuit nomine duarii Gerlingetune cum jure patronatus ecclesie eiusdem manerii et cum omnibus pertinentiis ad idem manerium pertinentibus et Turlebere cum omnibus pertinentiis suis salvo jure patronatus ecclesie eiusdem manerii et salvis sex libris reditus quas dicta Isobel tenetur solvere predicto Alano Basset vel heredi predicti Willelmi de Monte Acuto vel cui custodiam abuerit terre et heredis donec heres fuerit de etate scilicet ad duos terminos anni ad nativitatem sancti Johannis baptiste lx solidi et ad nativitatem domini lx solidi Et quoniam dictus Alanus Basset et dicta Isobel volunt quod hec conventio sit firma et stabilis hanc conventionem legitime tenend utraque parte affidaverunt et sigillorum suorum munimine corroboraverunt His testibus Gilberto Basset Warino Basset Rogero de Dantesie Reginaldo de Calne A de Estune Ricardo de Husseburne Hervico clerico Gilberto de Sai Willelmo le Daneis Gilberto le Daneis magistro Johanne de Childewic Petro Marescallo et multis aliis
