4. Confirmation by Edmund, earl of Cornwall, of- (i) a grant in pure and perpetual alms by Richard, count of Poitou and earl of Cornwall, to the prior and monks of St. Michael's Mount of land in his moor of Goonhilly, c. 1227-43 [between earliest date of Richard's assumption of the style 'Earl of Cornwall' and the time he abandoned the style 'Count of Poitou'] (ii) a grant in pure and perpetual alms by Richard, count of Poitou and earl of Cornwall, to the prior and monks of St. Michael's Mount of a rent of ten shillings formerly paid to him by William of Walesborough for the fairs of St. James outside the Mount, c. 1227-42 (iii) St. Michael's Mount to the prior and monks, with half a hide of land as Robert, count of Mortain, held it, with three acres of land in the Meneage at Traboe, Lesneage, Tregevis, and Carvallack. Earl Edmund also granted to the prior and monks that when a vacancy brought the priory into his custody the profits would be reserved for the next prior. (Confirmation, Grant, Inspeximus, ST.
