Memorandum quod die sancti Vincentii videlicet vicesimo secundo die ianuarii anno regni regis e[dwardi] tercii a conquestu vicesimo septimo frater Nicholaus de Hales prior Fontis Clericorum London[] frater Rogerus de Mitliton[] frater Hugo Archer frater Thomas Piparde et alii fratres et preceptores hospitalis sancti Iohannis Ierusalem in Anglia presentaverunt domino regi in Turri London[] in camera sua prope magnam aulam versus Thamisiam tunc existenti ex parte superioris magistri dicti hospitalis de Rodes fratrem Iohannem de Pavely quem dictus magister in priorem hospitalis in Anglia prefecerat supplicantes eidem domino regi quod ipsum fratrem Iohannem Pavely in priorem eiusdem hospitalis admittere et ea que ad dictum hospitale in Anglia pertinent administrare et inde disponere permittere dignaretur asserueruntque iidem presentantes aliquem priorem ipsius hospitalis fidelitatem dicto domino regi aut suis progenitoribus hactenus nunquam fecisse salva una vice qua frater Leonardus de Tybertis de Monte Leonis nuper prior eiusdem hospitalis fecit eidem regi fidelitatem sub protestacione quod hoc non cederet imposterum in preiudicium predicti hospitalis Et factis presentacione et assercione predictis dictus dominus rex prefatum Iohannem [de] Pavely in priorem dicti hospitalis in Anglia in forma predicta admisit et ad preceptum domini regis et consilii sui tunc ibidem existentis Idem prior fecit fidelitatem eidem domino regi sub protestacione quod non cederet in preiudicium dicti hospitalis in futuro
