Notum sit cunctis fidelibus sancte ecclesie tam presentibus quam futuris quod ego Simon de Gerardmulin concilio et assensu uxoris mee Iohanne do atque concedo in perpetuam elemosinam abbati et canonicis sancte Marie de Missendene capellam sancte Crucis quam Radulfus heremita edificauit apud Musewellam in feudo scilicet de Pidentuna donacione Guidonis filii Pagani antecessoris mei et totum assartum quod adiacet Preterea do eis quandam particulam nemoris que est inter eandem capellam et nemus proprium de Breihella que sicut semita vadit de Haiwella usque ad Scottgatam Hec supradicta dedi eis libere et quiete ab omni seruicio et consuetudine pro salute mea et uxoris mee et liberorum nostrorum et pro anima supradicti Guidonis antecessoris mei Testibus Wigoto priore de Oseneia etc

Date: [Kennet sub anno 1150.] Wigot ceased to have the title of Prior in January 1154, when Oseney was made an abbey. If we are to conclude from this charter that Simon and Joan already had more than one child, the date must be 1153.
