Noverint universi quod nos de mandato Domini nostri Thome, illustris comitis Flan- drie et IJainoie, necnon et uxoris sue Johanne, comitisse, ad Iegem et consuetudiuem patrie presentibus omnibus qui de jure suo et optenta consuetudine debebunt interesse, intus equitavimus, abbatis de Thosan uomine ecclesie sue, circiter trecenta quinquaginta tria bonaria tam nemoris, quod dicitur Borkela, quam wastine adjacentis, sicut comprehenduntur infra terrainos qui descripti sunt in prlvilegio memorati comitis et comitisse super hiis confecto ct nobis de jure nostro confitemur plenarie esse satisfactum. Nullam autem de cetero licet nobis facere remensurationem super dicto nemore vel wastina, sed sicut in privilegio ante- dicto habctur, expressum sive plus sive minus fuerit quod numerus continet supradictus totam dcbet esse dicti abbatis sine omni scrupulo sive forefacto. In hujus rei testimonium presentes litteras memorato abbati contulimus sigillorum nostrorum munimine roboratas et quia ego Hugo sigillum proprium non habeo, sub sigillo Domini mei Alardi de Hule me com- prehcndo. Actum anno Domini millcsimo ducentesimo quadragesimo quarto, tercio kalendas Junii.
