        Innocentius etc. Magistro-et fratribus de domo Theutonico- rum in Pruscie partibus constitutis. Cum Danieli regi Ruscie illustri et fratri eius et nobili viro Alexandro duci Gusdalien. nostras litteras dirigamus, ut cum eis constituit quod Tartaro- rum exercitus versus christianitatem dirigat gressus suos, id vobis intimare procurent, ut cum hoc per vos ad notitiam nos- tram pervenerit, qualiter ipsis Tartaris viriliter cum dei adiutorio resistamus possimus maturius cogitare, quia pericula possunt facilius evitari si contra ipsa per providentie clippeum muniamur: mandamus quod cum id Vobis innotuerit per eos vel aliquem eorundem nobis studeatis quam citius intimare. Datum Lugduni, xi. kal. febr., pontificatus nostri anno quinto.
