    Nos frater Johannes, abbas Cistercii ceterique diffinitores capituli generalis cisterciensis ordinis notum facimus universis, quod in eodem generali capitulo die XIII mensis septembris anno domini MoCCCCmo quinquagesimo quarto apud Cistercium celebrato facta fuit quaedam diffinitio, cujus tenor sequitur et est talis: Quoniam haud dubium quidquid honoris et reverentiae beatae annae matris beatissimae virginis Mariae, cui ordo noster specialiter dignoscitur dedicatus, exhibitum fuerit, ipsa beatissima virgo sibi impensum reputabit; generale capitulum gratia hujus piae et devotae considerationis intuitu diffinitionem alias editam innovando statuit, diffinit et ordinat, ut de cetero festum ipsius beatae Annae cum duodecim lectionibus et duabus missis celebretur ab omnibus et singulis conventibus ordinis cisterciensis. Datum sub sigillo diffinitorum dicti capituli, die mense anno et loco supradictis.
