<sup>1</sup> Weriand, der fünfzehnte Abt von St. Paul, 1311–1314. Abt Hieronymus sagt von ihm im Buche de fundatione: ,Quis iste Weriandus fuit, non certe constat. Conjecturare licet facile, ipsum fuisse illum plebanum de Sailhouen, qui sub Rudolfo abbate anno 1305 magnas donationes monasterio fecit, cuius cognatum Nicolaum Abbas Rudolfus in conventum recepit: pluribus et tantis beneficiis ab ipso fratres monasterii s. Pauli affecti ipsum post obitum Rudolfi in Abbatem postularunt et elegerunt. Fuit enim vir magnae authoritatis, gratus regibus et principibus, vicedominus Carinthiae et Carniolae‘.
