      S- Dei gracia decanus totumque capitulum Spirense, pre- sentis pagine protestacione publice profitemur, quod consi- liarii Spirenses ad preces quorundam dominorum nostrorum, videlicet domini prepositi sancte Trinitatis et W. de Hoe- necke, aream attinentem rei publicf civitatis, sicut assumunt, que pertingit a domo sancti Nicholai usque ad tristegam atrii, quam Wernherus sacerdos, capellanus sancti Nicholai felicis memorie, ex gracia ipsorum quoad vixit possedit, ma- gistro Ottoni prebendario nostro, provisori capelle memorate, liberaliter indulserunt, sub hac forma, quod ipse nullum ius domui vel capelle racione eiusdem aree recognoscat, sed ma- gis ex gracia civium eam debeat possidere, et cum necessitas ingruat, vel quandocunque ab ipso requisierint sine contra- dictione pro voluntate ipsorum aream ipsam resignet. In cuius concessionis testimonium presens scriptum sigillo nostro fe- cimus roborari. Actum anno Domini MCCXLVIII. kal. maii.
