Nos Chunradus Dei gratia prepositus totusque Conventus Ecclesie Ranshovensis coram universis presentia inspecturis tenore presentium profitemur, quod nos de voluntate et consensu sigillum quondam Conventus nostri longum, vile et distortum, continens imaginem S. Pancratii non armati, habentis in dextra Palmam, in sinistra vero monasterium sustentantis propter ipsius vilitatem repudiavimus, reprobavimus et abiecimus confringentes omnino anno Domini MCCXCVI. in die XI. millium Virginum. Eodem die sigillum novum rotunditatis oblonge continens imaginem beati Pancratii armati, in dextra gladium et clipeum tenentis infra et palmam sursum erigentis et in sinistra monasterium et in eminentia turris Crucem et gallum stantem desuper sustentantis, super collum vero gladium: Martirij deferentis, in cuius circulo est sic sculptum: +. sigillum Conventus S. Pancratii Martiris in Ranshoven, approbavimus, autenticavirnus et confirmavimus attribuentes eidem sigillo robur perpetue firmitatis, ratum tamen et gratum habentes, quidquid negotiorum, contractuum et pactorum sub veteri sigillo per nos et nostram Ecclesiam est initum et contractum, quibus per innovationem dicti sigilli nunc et in posterum nullum volumus preiudicium generari. In cuius rei testimonium presentem literam scribi fecimus ambo sigilla, novum, quod instituimus et vetus, quod abiecimus, propter utriusque notitiam appendentes. Huius rei testes sunt Albero, Siboto, Albertus, Hainricus, Fridericus, Chunradus, Heinricus, Wernhardus, Hertingerus Canonici Sacerdotes, Item Dietmarus Canonicus Dyaconus et alii quam plures viri idonei et fide digni. Datum et actum anno Domini et die superius annotatis in capitulo nostro in Ranshoven.
