Universis Christi fidelibus ad quos praesens scriptum pervenerit Johannes pater Thomae Abbatis de Seleby salutem in Domino sempiternam Noverit universitas vestra me reddidisse et de me et heredibus meis imperpetuum quietum clamasse Deo et Ecclesiae Beati Germani de Seleby et monachis ibidem Deo servientibus et successoribus eorundem totam terram ad pitanciam dictorum monachorum spectantem quam de eisdem religiosis tenere consuevi tenend et habend eisdem religiosis bene et in pace absque omni calumpnia seu vexacione mei vel heredum meorum imperpetuum nichil michi vel heredibus meis in praesenti vel in futuro inde retinendo Et ne ego vel heredes mei jus vel clamium in praedicta terra de cetero vendicare possimus vel exigere praesenti scripto sigillum meum apposui Hiis testibus Roberto le Chaumberlayn
