Geschriebene Chronik des Klosters Engeslzell vom Jahre 1783
Bonifacius episcopus servus servorum dei dilectis filiis abbat et conventui monasterii in Engelcella cisterciensis ordinis Pataviensis dioecesis salutem et apostolicam benedictionem. Cum a nobis petitur, quod justum est et honestum tam vigor sequitatis quam ordo exigit rationis, ut id per solicitudinem officii nostri ad debitum perducatur effectum. Eapropter dilecti in domino filii nostris justis pollicitationibus (vestris justis postulationibus) grato concurrentes assensu personas vestras et locum, in quo estis divino mancipati ( . . . servitio) cum omnibus bonis, quae in praesentiarum rationabiliter possidetis aut in futurum justis modis praestante domino poteritis adipisci, sub beati Petri et nostra protectione suscipimus. Specialiter autem decimas, prata, pascua, nemora, possessiones et alia bona vestra, sicut ea omnia juste et pacifice possidetis, vobis et per vos vestro monasterio auctoritate apostolica confirmamus et praesentis scripti patrocinio communimus. Nulli ergo omnium hominum liceat hanc paginam nostrae protectionis et confirmationis infringere vel ei ausu temerario contra ire. Si quis autem hoc attentare praesumpserit, indignationem omnipotentis dei et beatorum Petri et Pauli apostolorum ejus se noverit incursurum. Datum Laterani Idus Aprilis pontificatus nostri anno primo.
