Abstract: 301. Notification by Master Silvester, clerk of Baldwin archbishop of Canter- bury, that, about to set out for the Holy Land, he desires to place on record certain facts of which he is witness relating to the relations between the bishop of Wor- cester and the priory of Great Malvern; namely that when Walter abbot of West- minster instituted W. as prior of Great Malvern without the bishop's consent, Bishop Roger suspended the prior and held him suspended until the abbot and prior had given satisfaction for their offence and the institution had been annulled, after which the prior was instituted by the bishop's officials at his command.
