Abstract: 2 Agreement made before royal justices at Westminster between Richard Basset (II) and Walkelin prior of Launde. The priory agreed to surrender to Richard all the charters which it had received from Richard's father Geoffrey Ridel (II), except for the great foundation charter of the founder Richard Basset (I) of Weldon, the confirmation charter of the founder's son and heir Geoffrey Ridel (H) and the confirmation charter of the present patron Richard Basset (II). Final concord by which Wm. son of Gilb. surrenders 3 hides in Stanwardine, Eyton, Walford, Aston, Hisland, Wootton, and Twyfod to Reginald de Hesding who had claimed them by royal writ. In return Reginald gave him 2' hide in Stanford and will provide him for life with food, clothes, and horses as if he were his kinsman. After Alveva's death, the rent will be payable by John the son whom Alveva had by Simon; if John dies without heir it passes to Alveva's other sons by seniority and, if they die without heir, to the eldest of Alveva's daughters whom she had by Simon.
