Final concord in the king's court at Westminster between Abbot Hugh [II] and the convent of Reading and John of Kilpeck, by which the latter recognized half the vill of Broadward, excluding the capital messuage and adjacent alder-grove, to be the right of the former; in return the abbot and convent leased to John and his heirs in perpetuity half the mill of Broadward for an annual rent of 10s, and paid him 18 marks of silver. John quitclaimed to the Priory all the land in Silverstone of the fee of Towcester, which he held of Richard de Hinton, and which the Priory had deraigned in Richard de Hinton's court by royal precept. The Priory granted to John and his heirs half this land except the tenement of Hawise to hold of them for 4s. 6p. yearly, saving relief and forinsec service. They further granted him the house in which his father was living, and half the meadow that Osbert the reeve held. John shall not give, sell or pledge without the consent of the Priory.
