Abstract: 250 John [of Halton], bishop of Carlisle, grants, for the same reasons as in no. 249, that, on the death or resignation of Robert of London, the present rector of Carlatton, the prior and canons may appropriate the church, saving a suitable provision for a vicar, with its ordinance, collation, etc., reserved to the bishop and his successors to compensate for the loss to Carlisle cathedral.
