Abstract: 207. Final concord, following an assize of mort d'ancestor in the king's court at Doncaster (Yorks. W.R.), in the presence of Stephen de Segrave, Robert of Laxton, Ranuff son of Robert, Brian son of Alan, William of London, William de Insula, and Master Robert of Shardlow (itinerant justices), between Robert Rascald, plaintiff, and Prior William (probably de Welles) of Blyth, defendant, concerning 40 acres of land in Woolthwaite (Yorks. W.R.). Robert quitclaimed to the prior and monks all right in the whole of the land with appurtenances. The prior granted to Robert for life a monk's corrody together with a robe or 5s. annually. He further gave Robert 40s. The monks shall be quit of the payment of this corrody and robe on Robert's death. Dated 13 July 1231.
