Abstract: 296 Agreement between Nicholas, prior of Tutbury, and the convent over the provisioning of the monks' kitchen, which is to be financed by the prior to the extent Of 26 marks annually (L3 18s. 5d. at Michaelmas, L 3s. 8d. at Candlemas, L4 11s 4d. at Easter and L4 13s 4d. at the feast of St. John the Baptist, totalling L17 6s. 9d., one penny more than 26 marks). He is also to provide specified quantities of livestock, foodstuffs and condiments and to provide the "great banquet" on the day of the Assumption (15 August). Provision for the merchant of the monks, the chaplain of Tutbury and other dependent clergy. These arrangements to remain in force as long as the number of monks does not exceed 15. The prior may eat in the monks' refectory and bring three or four friends with him, or in the monks' parlour with one or two friends.
