Abstract: Robert [de Chaury], bishop of Carlisle, confirms settlement of dispute between prior and convent of Lanercost and Richard, perpetual vicar of Irthington- the vicar will receive the corn tithes within part of the parish (bounds stated), the Irthing being the boundary with Brampton parish, and the convent the rest; the vicar will continue to receive the lesser tithes from the whole parish except from the convent's own beasts and hay of their manor of Prestover, the vicar will pay only one and a half skeps of oat flour, rather than three as first laid down [in no. 226], together with the two of malt.
