Agreement, in form of a cyrograph, made before papal judges delegate and with the assent of Archbishop Edmund, between Master Reginald, rector of the church of Chartham, and the prior and convent of St. Gregory, concerning the large and small tithes of the parish of Chartham. The assarts of woodland and great tithes of the ancient demesne of Howfield belong to the priory by the grant of Archbishop Lanfranc, but the tithes arising from all its other lands within the parish of Chartham belong to the parish of Chartham, which also enjoys the small tithes by ancient right.
